Warranty Terms

 Warranty Provider

This warranty is provided by Wat 4WD Limited, New Zealand.

Products supplied under third-party or agent brands are covered by the warranty provided by the relevant New Zealand authorised distributor or importer.

Consumer Guarantees

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

The benefits provided under this warranty are in addition to your rights and remedies under New Zealand law.

Warranty Coverage and Periods

Subject to the terms and conditions below, Wat 4WD Limited warrants that products supplied by us will be free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship from the date of purchase as follows:

• 5 years – aluminium and roof rack systems, roof platforms, trays, and similar structural accessories

• 3 years – steel (ferrous) products and components

• 1 year – textile and fabric products, locks, wiring, and electrical components

• 5 years – all other Wat 4WD branded products unless otherwise stated

Where a product is sold with a specifically stated warranty period, that stated period will apply.

Warranty Claims

To make a warranty claim, you must provide proof of purchase and notify Wat 4WD Limited within a reasonable time after the defect becomes apparent.

Return of Goods

Unless otherwise agreed, the customer is responsible for returning the product for assessment. Where a claim is approved as a warranty fault, reasonable return freight costs will be reimbursed in accordance with the CGA.

Exclusions

This warranty does not apply to:

• Normal wear and tear or cosmetic deterioration

• Misuse, neglect, or lack of maintenance

• Failure to follow fitting, installation, or usage instructions

• Products fitted to incompatible vehicles

• Overloading or incorrect load securing

• Unauthorised modifications

• Accidents, impacts, environmental conditions, or acts of God

• Consequential or incidental damage, including damage to vehicles, cargo, or property

This warranty is not transferable and applies only to the original purchaser, unless otherwise required by law.

Governing Law

This warranty is governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of New Zealand.
